Hi! I'm the owner, clinical supervisor, and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist at August Bloom Counseling. I graduated at Whitworth University after 20+ years in community & healthcare settings. My life experiences led to a deep desire to support others find healthy ways to navigate challenges. As a therapist, I work with teens and adults, specializing in relationships, anxiety, trauma, spiritual deconstruction, and identity. As a supervisor, I support graduate-level interns with a 15-month clinical experience required to become a licensed counselor or therapist.

I'm a clinical intern from Gonzaga's Marriage and Family Counseling program. I believe people have the capacity to shape their lives through awareness and intentional choice. Our experiences and circumstances influence us but we have the power to challenge unhelpful patterns that can lead to change. My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I see emotions as valuable signals from our bodies that reveal our deepest needs, we just need to tune in and listen. I strive to create a safe, accepting space where clients can explore their identity, honor their unique background, and move toward meaningful, authentic change.
I work with parents and couples who want stronger, more connected relationships. As a mother, I understand both the value and challenges of family life. I believe families shape individuals and communities, and with support, can become places of stability and growth. Drawing rom Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and emotional awareness, I help clients understand patterns, improve communication, and build healthier relationships in a safe, supportive space.

Hi! I’m a graduate student in the Marriage and Family Counseling program at Gonzaga University. I believe humans are fundamentally wired for connection and that healing occurs through authentic, collaborative relationships.
I approach counseling with the understanding that each person’s lived experience is shaped by unique sociocultural contexts. Our gender, race, class, sexuality, and other identities influence both the challenges we face and the strengths and resiliencies we develop. I strive to create a supportive, affirming space where clients feel seen and understood as they explore their experiences, build insight, and strengthen connections with themselves and others.
In our work together, you can expect curiosity, respect, and a collaborative pace. I am especially interested in supporting individuals navigating identity development, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Nate is a Marriage and Family Counseling graduate student at Gonzaga University, receiving training in systemic, trauma-informed care. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and brings several years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of care settings. Some of those roles included behavioral and direct support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including children on the autism spectrum. Through this work, Nate developed an appreciation for meeting clients with patience, curiosity, and respect for their autonomy.
Nate enjoys helping clients build communication skills and strengthen relationships in ways that feel practical and sustainable. He is especially interested in identity development, emotional regulation, and supporting families navigating complex transitions. Clients can expect a steady, thoughtful presence and a collaborative approach that balances reflection with real-life tools. He strives to create a space that feels welcoming, grounded, and genuinely supportive of each person’s growth.
